Hi there,
Does anyone else here remember, a few years back, when he provided funds for a pair of spectacles for an old chap in the delhi ashram - he didn't stop talking about it for months (perhaps years even).
If memory serves, it was sometime in the summer of 1999 when I heard M tell the story in a satellite feed from Europe -- I was listening from Vermont. I could be wrong about the date and place, but I remember the story. As I remember it, Maharaji had told us that he was dissolving the title of "Mahatma' in India (as well as the ashrams) and he said he had met with many of the older men in the ashram there.
M said that one of the old men was having a hard time seeing, they had a verbal exchange, etc., etc., so M paid for him to get new glasses.
