Firstly, Jon, this example is irrelevant, as there can be no consequences of being honest or sincere here for you, as you are anonymous. If you are thinking of consequences while you are posting (although I can't imagine what they could be), then others are right not to trust you.

But the main thing I want to ask you is if you think it is OK to drive after drinking? In your example you have already transgressed acceptable morality by driving after drinking too much, so lying about it is insignificant in comparison. Anyway, in the UK and Latvia, lying wouldn't help you, as if the police have any reason to suspect you have been drinking they will test your breath, and if positive, your blood. I understand your master has driven while drunk. Is this where you learnt morality?
