"Jesus did the Jews a real favour." Yes, actually, he did. It was people who screwed it up later, and who continue to do so over and over. Jesus was not an enemy of original thought; quite the contrary. I find your statement confusing and am curious to know what it is based on. He was much more one of the first to truly "think outside the box" as everyone likes to say today. And "father of all guilt trips" seems completely off base. May I ask your source of historical facts? I'm not defending any religion or ideology. I'm just hoping for truth, not heresay, especially not heresay that is hundreds or thousands of years old and spread by hysterical followers. I've had quite enough myth and fantasy.
