Bill Clinton was the President and he had sex outside his marriage. He did not claim to have special powers, did not claim to be God, did not ask to be surrendered to or worshipped or ask people to dedicate their lives to him. He also did not tell people how to live their lives. He also did not attempt to imbue his wife or daughter as objects of worship, and parade his family out on stages to sing his praises and be worshipped. Plus, before Clinton even became President, it was pretty clear he had a big thing for women outside his marriage, and most people didn't have a problem with it, thinking it was his own, personal sex life and nobody's business and it doesn't have any effect on his ability to do his job.
Rawat, on the other hand, while preaching total dedication and surrender to himself, and claiming that the "experience" you had inside yourself was actually HIM, also directed that his followers not eat meat, take drugs, and for the ashram premies, be celibate. All the while, Rawat was smoking dope, drinking, eating meat, smoking cigarettes, having sex with premies and, eventually, having a mistress, and tried to hide all of it from the premies and the public. On the onse hand, it is also Rawat's personal life, but the hypocrisy, and the extent he went to hide it from his followers, is what is significant and what is says about the kind of person Rawat really is.
