Hi Livia,

                How you doing ?

>I know exes who are terminally depressed and I know happy exes, and I know really screwed up premies as well as very happy ones, if deluded.<

No one should consider depression 'terminal' - whatever its cause -  depression is 'challengeable' . The problem with trying to understand the relationship between exism and depression is that there is always a possibility of a 'chicken and egg' situation. It may be for instance that a persons worsening psychological health will actually force them to confront those things that are a source of 'ill being'.

The perpetual dissonance of being a premie will no doubt have a deleterious effect on some people - and that in itself may be a depressive influence. Once chronicity has set in however even changing ones lifestyle, giving up the bad habits of cultism, may not be enough to restore good psychological health - and interventions such as counselling and medication may be necessary.

Of course being an 'unhappy premie' is a truly dreadful state - not only does the individual have their personal pain - they are also letting the whole cult membership down by failing to be in 'bliss'.
