Thanks, NAR. I really do appreciate your answers to my questions. I think some of them are very similar to what must be the case here in my home. To look around me at the many, many people who so deeply love this man, his family and friends and see the true bewilderment in their eyes and hearts.....that is nearly as painful as seeing him ensnared in rawat's toxic hold. I can't help them and I wish I could; it's all I can do to keep going myself. The rejection his parents must still feel, though, I can't imagine. If someone is hooked, so completely, by things that they only find real in their own head, how on earth do you deal with that? How do you try and even find the chink in it to let a flicker of light in? It's not real, so is impossible to even dicuss rationally---trust me on that one! I've tried! Every attempt at rational discussion is turned and twisted until it is unregcognizable. I gave up on that. I can't discuss under those conditions anymore than I can light a candle in a gale. (To EV monitors, no, not an unlit match, you twits. It's a candle I'm trying to light with the lit match of my love; you do remember love, do you not?.) Did anybody tell Rat that the matches light the candle, not the other way around? Of all the idiotic analogies I've ever read.....wow.

Again, thanks, NAR. You have been much help.
