About those vows we say to Prem Rawat | |||

I believe that confused Gerry reprinted the vows everyone said to Maharaji when we "received knowledge." I know right before Mahatma Parlokanand squeezed by eyeballs so hard in the light technique that I though I had a detached retina, he had us say the following but there is a simple explanation for all this:
"Oh my Guru Maharaji, I dedicate myself to your lotus feet. I am weak and ignorant and am filled with the impurities of this world.
Big deal. I have always been dedicated to feet, haven't you? And as far as being weak and ignorant, if there is anything I have learned from being in those training session with Rawat, is that I am nothing more than pond scum and incapable of indepenent action or thought. He just loves me so much to put me through days of psychological abuse to help me understand that.
Oh Guru Maharaji, please take my mind and purge me of the impurities I possess. Reveal to me the knowledge of all knowledge.
Well, this goes without saying. The need to be purged of impurities, and that you are full of them, and needing Maharaji so you can "purge," is openly disclosed by Prem Rawat at every Introductory Program. Isn't it? So is the devoting to feet part, I think, isn't it? I mean, Prem Rawat is @#$%^&^%$-ing honest about all that.
Strengthen me, uplift me and reveal the kingdom of heaven within inside of me. Bring me from hate to love, from darkness to light, death to immortality.
This is just a cultural misunderstanding. Prem Rawat has never claimed to be God, nor has he claimed to be the new Jesus Christ who brings the Kingdom of Heaven to people, even if he did say it a few times. See, that's just the way they say things in India, and the Mahatmas screwed this part up and they made Prem Rawat say it, or else it was translated wrong, or something. Maharaji is just an inspirational speaker who dispenses meditation techniques via video, and it's always been that way. Just a cultural misunderstanding, all that. Just ask the Andersens. They will explain it to you.
I will OBEY you implicitly and will never reveal this knowledge to anyone for any reason. I will keep in contact with you through my DEVOTIONAL LOVE, satsang, meditation and service.
Well, gee, this is kind of hard to explain, isn't it? But, again, those East Indians are kind of nuts and to them everything is God, and most people have devotional love for lots of things including their bathroom fixtures, and they sing devotional songs like Arti to all sorts of people when they come home from a holiday bus trip. And that obedience thing, well, I can't really explain that either, except to further insult the Subcontinent of Asia, and everyone who resides there, except Prem Rawat, of course.
Thank you my LORD for everything.'
Lord, Smord, Rawat never said that, never would say that, and besides, now he only says it in intimate gatherings in which he is selling darshan for $5000 donations, and people are free to call him Lord. So, there! Hope that explains everything for you. Elan Vital does a good job of explaining it on their website, too, which is just so clear, logical and lacking in paranoid defensiveness, that any interested person would understand right away.
