yes clay, air inside, a little bit less than a foot high.she'll be white when fired.  It's a grainy clay which makes it able to stand up better than a fine clay but yes it has been a tough build, I let it stand for too long and she dried out at one stage and I wrapped her in wet towels and then left it too long and she fell down - she's had three hip breaks in all.  I have no idea how I stood for 9 hours and I am still recovering - I keep falling asleep.  I missed my bridge game with my brother this evening. we were very disappointed.

I'm building a bowl next and then I will be firing the kiln.  so finger's crossed, though I really won't mind too much if she cracks a bit, I am keeping her.
