when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Time for the big guns today I was up at 6am baking fish for the cat and then I got out the ice cream churner. I made a huge batch of mango kulfi (Indian ice cream made with condensed and evaporated milk) and then I blatted my brains out playing bridge on line. I finally made the wise decision to drink wine on my neighbour's balcony, I won't say I'm feeling normal cause I'm not but not quite so stir crazy.
Fortunately there's no room in my head to worry about the future of the world. omg I just remembered I did a decent bit of writing this morning. It is April I have written every day.
I still have this storyline left over from years ago, before Game of Thrones I had this idea that the world monetary systems would collapse under the weight of bulk petty thievery and this moment would open up for who would be crowned God - Russia and West duking it out having carved up China. Meanwhile up on the steppes Tarkol, descendant of Genghis Khan, not that he knows it, is stirring in his sleep. Ancient blood flows are whispering to him, he can feel the shift in his bones, and the way he was thinking he was scaring himself. Waking up fully he goes outside and looks up at the night skies, perhaps it was that blow to the head yesterday has addled my wits, he thought but that was the last self doubt he had for a very long time....
it sounds a lot more fun than all the horrible scenarios we know are coming horribly close, if I ever write the story it was going to finish with him swooping down on his stolen horse and wresting the crown from under their noses.
Probably all the little animals would come back under his benign rule. and the flowers bloom. the toads would sink back into the swamp, the corn grow tall and we just wouldn't be troubled with the toxins and the viruses any more.
