I was always resentful of the connection to the Beatles and hippies in general. The message of the helter Skelter book was "this is what happens when you trip and listen to Beatles music" I also find it wrong that despite parole board recommendations, a couple of the followers get overruled by Governor Brown. These women are the longest serving inmates in California. Charlie is 83, and it's amazing he's held on this long. My 2 connections to this case were once at a rainbow gathering I met a guy named Eric Fromme, whose aunt"Squeaky" was a and is a Charlie follower and was famous for pointing an unloaded gun at President Ford as a protest against cutting down redwood trees. About 8 years ago I rented a room where a nazi guy lived , who'd talked a lot on the phone to Charlie and even was sent a tv by Manson, as Charlie could only have one in his cell of the many his fans sent.
