Most of the threads have a first post read between 150 and 250.
Then there's a couple in the 400's - Protoss and the one by Lakeshore called Prem Rawat's daughter in law.
Then comes Anth's recent post that's in the 600's.
And then, bottom of the page perhaps I will push it onto page two with this post but still on page one now - Prembio's post titled The sleazy PR guy at Millennium 73. it is at 1400 reads!
I wonder why that is - most of it is a photograph - I think that must be it because Susan's reply is a normal read number. Maybe he has gone on to make a living in PR and sent it to all his friends.

Hi Lesley, When I posted a photo of Dr. Bronners Pure Castile Peppermint Oil Soap, it garnered nearly 3,000 page reads. I chalked it up to a software glitch and had it deleted. If it wasn't a software glitch, I want my commission!
One thing I'm certain about is that Anth's 630 page reads is not a software glitch, and that makes me feel hopeful.

Surely it's just the traffic generated by Shana linking to it?
Bigger than normal read numbers suggest someone linking to a post from a busier site than this, like FB.

yes I'm not surprised Anth's post gets the extra reads, that's a new story from him.
I'm a bit surprised Maria or Dojo haven't got as many. I didn't notice when they first posted, it might have been big numbers then.
But the old photograph of the PR guy? He's got a lot of friends! and the photo of Dr Bronner soap, 3000 views, wow!
Oh well I'm probably behind the times in my estimations of what a link in FB does.
Do think we're very lucky to have this forum.

I'm pretty sure these are accurate counts of the number of times the post has been opened. As someone else noted, if the post is linked elsewhere, eg. Facebook, or in a google search, then the reads will be higher. I don't think a thousand reads is particularly high even for this obscure backwater of the internet.

Thank you! Yes and I agree, 1000 is nothing really “backwater of the internet” but relative to other posts may indicate some sharing or word of mouth.
Susiewasapremie reels have numbers and at one point the little blurb of John Horton saying it wasn’t a cult was at 14k from memory.

Hi John, maybe this only happens on my device. New posts are blue. Posts I have viewed change color. It helps me to see what is new. Sometimes they all appear blue. Then change back to both colors. Sometimes they stay all blue. BTW, no I am not tripping! LOL. THANKS.KAREN

This happens to me and I just figured it was my laptop and not a site problem. Usually the posts I haven't read are blue and the others are some darker colour. Sometimes, like today, all of the posts are blue so I can't tell which ones I have read already. Then I just go somewhere else for awhile and try again later. When it all looks back to normal, I can then tell which ones I have already read - very handy.
