Some time before that, I was asked to participate in a KIT by acting out what were the appropriate things to say to your friend when inviting them to attend a program.  It was pretty horrible, it went against the Aussie grain to do something so silly, but I did it anyway.  As I understand it that KIT thing was pretty much the end of local events being regularly attended by premies.
