Actually I didn't realise that Guru Maharaj Ji was God. I put it down to having sensitive eyes and not allowing the mahatma to squeeze as hard as he wanted so I never say Divine Light. But lots of other premies had realised he was God and so I thought I'd hang around, meditate, go to satsang and see what happens.
Recently I was sent some old newspaper clippings which is why I've been reminiscing. This one really struck me. WTF, is this normal? Did all those other premies claiming they realised who God was even if they weren't God realised do something similar? From the Sincinnati Enquirer:
Linda recalled how she "knew" that the young guru was God, She went to a large hall with thousands of other premies: "The energy was high and the anticipation was high … it was the group buildup. And then Guru Maharaji came out. He walked out. Everybody was screaming, screaming. 'Bolie Shri Satguru Dev Maharaj Ki Jai' Tears came to my eyes, which is very significant because I rarely cry … To me, that was proof. Oh, I felt so much energy when Guru Maharaj Ji walked into the room. I have to receive this meditation. He is the One. This is proof to me. I am positive. From that point on, I was hooked. I was completely and totally hooked. That was all the proof I needed."
