I think he was caught in a compromising position with aa aspirant. M sacked him immediately.

It may be a faulty assumption here, that he thought crimes against children would be worse than crimes against adults.  

Remember Lila and Maya? You are applying your moral compass to him,  and that he would think about it the way you think about it, There are other examples of people doing really horrible things that were not "sacked". 

 I found it mystifying too, everyone heard Guru Maharaj Ji defrocked Mahatmas and sent them to India. ( What does this say about his opinion of his birthplace?) but this assumption that just because we think this is worse doesn't mean he did. It's also not consistent with a lot of other reports, not just mine. 

It is clear that the most important thing in the cult damage control was to get premies to believe Prem Rawat didn't know.
