Gee, do I want a tent or a bunkhouse? Hard choices to make when it's about you.

Exactly my feelings about the subject.  Whu happened?  I gave so much.  Nice bar at Daya's Fine Dining.  What about the average person.  HA! What a fraudulent thing: "AMAROO DAY" 2000.  Give around the world.  What a bunch of hooey.

What happened to the money premies invested/lent Rawat for his Amaroo project? I left shortly after he/Elan Vital had started the manipulation/invitation prompting premies to "participate" lending their monies. Does anyone knows?

I know people gave all their life saving for that project, but of course, after leaving the cult I lost all contact with them. Just curious.

Thanks.

I remember growing and planting trees at Amaroo. John MacGregor once asked me what on eartth I did that for and I replied the family that plants together stays together. Not exactly my most prophetic words.

I'm sure the only trees we planted that died were those that they dug up once they decided to move the roads again or put buildings up there after all cause as a person who has planted thousands I'm not one of those dig a cubic metre hole first type people. Of course they may since have gone through and ripped up all the trees that have my "vibe".

I think this was back in the early 90's and what a come down it was to go to Amaroo. I'm one of those old ex-ers who tends to romanticise the 70's times and the 70's premies but by Amaroo there was far more time and effort going into smoking cigarettes at Amaroo than meditation though that wasn't during "festivals" just the normal "service" times. Premies certainly were remembering their breath, they were sucking on ciggies with every few breaths. They were so hung on nicotine. This at a time when smoking in the Australian population had fallen to around 30%! "I'm so hung on you, Mahalborough"

I've worked in the Public Service but nothing I have ever seen prepared me for the incompetence at Amaroo, surely the only place on earth where volunteer work was more expensive than paying outside commercial contractors and I got that straight from the Laver's mouth!

Similar: Paranoia, isolation, security to the extreme and isolation from outsiders, huge difference in how leader and followers live

Big differences: not living there 24:7 , no attempt to say they are improving the world at large, having babies and nurseries at the site and making a permanent home....

biggest...white nights and cool aid.
