There was another post about one week ago re Dr Horrowitz - did that disappear of its own accord? Did I imagine it? It was perhaps too private, maybe it's indiscreet of me to mention it.

I found the articles, I remembered the early mentions of Hallowitz in 1973ish magazine articles, I asked the questions and OTS confirmed it was the same person and I just stored it away as something I might use later on if it had any validity in the story of Rawatism.

My initial idea was that it was indicative of the fact that premies actually have a set of ideas and beliefs rather than an "experience" that is the source of what they do. Also that even particularly clever people can believe the Rawatism nonsense especially if they out on the edge of normal belief systems.

Full stop.

3 months later his son, who apparently doesn't know much about him or has had much contact with him posts but it's way back on Page 7 so nobody but Zelator sees it. Amazing.

I don't think I've even posted the articles in the Newspaper gallery. I think Mr Simms has a natural concern but has provided no evidence that the "scandal" wasn't exactly as it apparently was portrayed by TV and press. I don't see that I ridiculed him, I didn't say anything but post the articles together and my take on the situation is that adultery happens but using supposed divinity to promote it is unethical and that it is is illegal for medical professionals to use their position to have sexual relations, consenting or otherwise, with their patients. Unless Mr Simms provides some evidence for his assertions I'd accept the media stories at face value.

"Gaithersburg MD physician Robert A. Hallowitz lost his medical license following allegations that he had sex and used illegal drugs with several patients and portrayed himself as the "embodiment of God" on a mission to bring "light and love into the world" by fathering children."

Yes, very peculiar.

I'd forgotten all about that little exchange of free flowing ideas, but now that I re-read the thread I see that you are quite correct in saying:

I don't see that I ridiculed him, I didn't say anything but post the articles together............

It was myself who was doing the ridiculing, & if I had the time & inclination I could do a great deal more in that line.

An explanation from Zelator as to what is going on here would be appreciated.

Apologies if I gave the impression I have inside knowledge of this - I don't. I know nothing - not even particularly interested in lurid stuff. Just that the post caught my attention, later on I couldn't find it, honest.

I remember now that after reading the Millenium 73 articles I searched the web for any further info on Hallowitz and the other premies of the day who had been able to impress, to a greater or lesser degree, some journalists. Hallowitz was spouting the most extreme "brain research provides proof of the Techniques of Knowledge" pineal gland bullshit and also magical crap like holding peanuts to his "third eye" and praying to GMJ to finds out if the peanuts were any good so I was interested to see how his career had progressed.

I certainly wasn't looking for lurid newspaper articles and unless his son provides countering evidence it seems that he turned into a nasty piece of work and that his sojourn as a true believer of Prem Rawat hadn't been positive.
