That's excellent, Nik, thanks. TPRF (The Prem Rawat Foundation) providing the book in the Oscar gift-bag is further evidence that Prem Rawat endorses Cagan's book, Peace is Possible, the so-called biography of him, which is nothing more than a huge revision of his life, filled with libel against critical former followers -- us. That's good publicity for ex-premies, who do tell the truth about Prem Rawat and his personality cult. This could backfire in Prem Rawat's and Andrea Cagan's face. Anyone who receives the book in the Oscar package just might be inclined to do a Google search of Prem Rawat and come upon EPO and other sites that tell the true biography of his life and personality, along with photos of his monster mansion on the Malibu bluff, helipad and all...

Didn't I read somewhere that he signed copies of the book? Perhaps the very ones in the gift bag of goodies for the West Coast Beautiful People. How did he sign it? I wonder. Prem Rawat? Saint Prem Rawat? Maharaj ji? Maharaji? Sant Ji Maharaj? What is it this week?

I must have missed that. Signed the copies! As if they'll be worth something some day. Hahaha...
Hope you're well! Cynthia

On Cagan's website, her contact information is listed as Trident Media Group. This is the webpage of her agent, Paul Deforko (part of Trident's website). Note that it isn't clear if Deforko/Trident represented her on the Prem Rawat book deal. http://www.tridentmediagroup.com/paulfedorko.html

Done them both ! Here's what the great humanitarian provided for the underprivaleged musos: The Prem Rawat Foundation gave out luxury gift sets to all the stars, including jewelry, a Swarovski-encrusted T-shirt and book written by the foundation’s namesake, Prem Rawat. Also known by the honorary title Maharaji, Rawat has traveled the world for more than four decades, inspiring people to find peace within. His message is simple but profound: “Peace needs to be in everyone’s life. Of all the things we have tried in this world, there is one thing we have never given a chance. That one thing is peace. … When people in the world are at peace within, the world will be at peace.” The Prem Rawat Foundation is dedicated to advancing the lectures, speeches, writings, art, music, humanitarian efforts, and public forums of Prem Rawat. The Foundation made a lasting impression on all of the talent who came through the lounge. Ciara was very interested in the foundation’s work and autographed a T-shirt along with a personal message of peace. The shirt will be auctioned off to benefit the foundation. It read: “When you have peace within yourself, everything else falls in place. . . love, Ciara.” tprf.org http://lastheplace.com/2007/02/13/distinctive-assets-rocks-the-grammys-with-the-official-talent-lounge-and-gift-bag/ The premies must be so hapy that this is where their money goes.

How humanitarian, although you have to laugh at the company he keeps with the sellers of handbags and espresso machines. Premies will, of course, never question the priorities for this supposed "humanitarian." Pat Halley had the right idea.

What is that? Mardi Gras (with the emphasis on the gras)? The Rose Bowl Parade? What an ass.

That was a procession that took place in Kissimmee, Florida during the 1978 or 1979 (not sure which) week-long camp-out Hans Jayanti festival -- a celebration of Shri Hans birthday of Nov. 9th. It was an international festival and while the cart was being pulled around the grounds, Indian premies were singing Indian devotional songs in the background. Maharaji had given very heavy and intense "surrender your body, mind, and soul" satsang (speech) there twice per day for a week, and in between during the days and evenings, there had been all-day satsang going on by the initiators/instructor/mahatmas and other inner circle premies. The cart was hauled by Rawat's western initiators, as he sat in it bare-chested and gave out his blessings to all the thousands of premies who were screaming "Bolie shri satguru dev maharaj ki jai!" over and over while hitting the ground doing pranam. Actually, I had quite a strong sort of "out-of-body" type of experience when Rawat went past me and made eye-contact with me. My brain-chemistry was really working in over-drive, and that was a lot more cement in my belief that he was worthy of my complete surrender, but actually it was really the phenomenon of an intense group high.

Nik's link appears to be a PR website for groups and people who want to be associated with the Grammys. Looks to me like this is just paid publicity. So the "Foundation made a lasting impression"? Yeah, like get me away from these cultheads!
