admittedly the unjudgemental listening aspect of Rogers' technique has a fundamental place - at least in the early stages of counselling. You've got to learn what that your client's story is, and being able to listen is certainly a good start. However, (though I have no pretentions to being a counsellor myself) Rogers is not the be-all and end-all of counselling. I'm sure you, a counsellor, would know that. Yet you only mention Rogers. Well, it's a start, I suppose. Care to give us the low-down on what Carl Rogers' method of counselling means to you? Maybe Tim Berne's, Gerrard Egan's and Fritz Perls' too, if you have the inclination? It may be useful.
