Given the fact that this aid is given - not by Rawat - but by organisations that "he doesn't profit from" (they say) - and also given that, to date, the level of this aid has been miniscule (4.5 tonnes of rice, according to the original press release, a few hundred eye-tests in India, and now this) - does anyone else get the feeling that the aid isn't the focus - it's more to do with whatever "good press" Rawat can leach out this campaign?

First the rice - a traditional blessing on any new venture, and not just in the East.

Then the eye-tests - see more clearly.

Now flashlights?

Is Rawat getting subliminal in his old age?
