It would have been a whole lot easier for God to just make a stoplight and retrofit it into the mind instead of going to all the trouble of taking a form.
I mean - allegorically, of course - after God made Adam and realized He should have made him a helpmate, God did not come down and let Adam have his way with Him, y'know. God made a helpmate for Adam from a rib, yeah. Retrofitted for Adam's comfort, hey now!
