Hello all,

I've been reading all the opinions about the banning of POV and I'm one person who is happy to see this person gone.  In thinking this issue through after reading this thread, I went to the Forum Guidelines to refresh my memory about what's acceptable here and what's not (the guidelines aren't something I generally refer to frequently):

Disruptive Posters:

Since these forums began there have been posters whose sole purpose is to prevent these forums from fulfilling their purpose. Some of these are obvious, and should be ignored until the moderators remove their posts. For others, if you doubt the sincerity of a poster, then by all means contact the moderators at
moderators@elitemail.org, but please leave your suspicions off the forum. It is better for an insincere poster to remain undetected, than for a sincere poster to be wrongfully accused.

This is not the first time a premie has come to the forum to disrupt, badger, and attack either ex-premies in general or a particular individual.  I think that one of the good things about the above guideline is that it points out that suspicions about posters is off-topic here, even when it's obvious that someone is intentionally being disruptive and abusive to anyone on this forum who is an ex-premie.

IMO, POV fits this "disruptive poster" profile in spades. Anyone who is new to reading this forum and/or posting on this forum might not be aware of the dreadful personal attacks that Susan, in particular, has withstood over the years about the Jagdeo matter.  I think that of all things, this forum must be a place where someone like Susan, or anyone else for that matter, who has put her name on the line and suffered the consequences dearly, must be protected from personal attacks by ignorant people like POV, regardless of what I personally believe their motives are for being here.

I think I've given enough of my attention to this POV person who is someone I don't know, can't know who it is (how is that possible?) and certainly is not welcome here by me.

Cynthia
