Proclude is incorrect, preclude is the word. As for the meaning, it is "whether getting drunk and stoned (would) permanently preclude him from teaching Knowledge". As opposed to "whether getting drunk and stoned permanently (would) preclude him etc". Neither would preclude him as far as I'm concerned. Although dealing with a permantly stoned and drunk teacher might test my resolve. I'm happy to listen to Charlie Parker but I wouldn't have wanted to liive with him. I'm glad to see someone else cares about accuracy. And in the interests of accuracy, there is nothing new about the idea of masters scandalizing the the more conservative elements of society. POV |
