That's an excellent point, Andries.

Elan Vital is using the Scientologist's Cult Awareness Website or "CAN" as a resource for their (EVs) destructive personality cult.  This is just more proof of the disinformation and defamation of character war that Elan Vital is waging against Prem Rawat's critics. 

I don't know why Elan Vital is so worried about religious freedom, though.  Elan Vital does enjoy tax exempt status as a church in the U.S., but Prem Rawat and Elan Vital deny that he teaches any religion, philosophy, or spirituality!   EV says they have no membership, yet "students" must have SmartCards in order to enter Rawat programs.  Recently, the North American EV website has placed a link on their main webpage:  "New Mailing List Available - Sign up Here." 

When someone calls CAN, they will get a Scientologist to talk to about their concerns that someone they know may be involved in a destructive cult.  They name Andy Bagley, a minister for over 30 years, as the contact person, but don't say he's been a Scientology "counselor" since the 1950s.  So, the Scientologists use the dreaded "C" word, Cult Awareness Network, in the name of religious freedom. Then such concerned people, (parents, for instance) who may not be aware of the Scientology connection with CAN, end up talking to a Scientologist instead of someone who is informed about cult dynamics, cults of personality, and how to educate themselves about such groups.
