Ok Reporter... let's rationally think this through!
For argument's sake I am going to alter some details since arguing or discussing m, k, or premiedom is too close to your heart. Picture this....>>>>> You realize one day that you have a need to buy an automobile. For whatever reasons. So you search and search..... One day you come upon a person, we'll call him Fred, that informs you of this 'guy' (let's name him Mat Rotji) that has some great vehicles and that these cars are perfect. Now you happen to find this person likeable and sincere so you agree to check it out. However you are not aware that that Fred is informing you of Mat Rotji due to his getting an incentive to do so. (perhaps he is getting a discount or perhaps he gets a percentage or perhaps he is seeking a job in Mat Rotji's organization) You meet this Mat Rotji fellow and he is a very slick salesman. He makes big promises, tells you that he is the only one that can provide you these perfect cars and that you can't beat his prices. You decide (?) to check it out further. You test drive a car.. and eventually decide that you will purchase it. Of course all the time being told how incredible the car is and how Mat Rotji is the greatest salesman in the world. Of course you are also told that if the car needs servicing only Mat Rotji can fix it. Well since you, by now believe that the car you buy is perfect, this is not a big deal. So you buy it! After a short time, you start to learn more n more about the vehicle, and how it actually runs. You also find that many of the promises made by Mat Rotji are not true. Eventually you come to find out that you have to 'service' the vehicle daily in order for it to run. The costs seem to be piling up. (called 'drips) After a while you hear tales regarding how this Mat Rotji attained his vehicles. You find out that perhaps some vehicles were gained illegally. You find out that Mat Rotji served prison time years before for corrupt business practises and for grand theft auto. You want to ask some questions....>>>>> So you ask some 'employees' about this Mat Rotji and are told that there are a small number of ex customers that are spreading vicious rumours about Mat Rotji and that none of it is true. (drip) One day you are online and decide to google "Mat Rotji". All of a sudden you find a web site made up of others that had been swindled by Mat Rotji and decide to read some of the posts. At the same time you see Mat Rotji change his tactics and 'soften' his sales pitch yet still claim to have perfect cars. Now Mat Rotji no longer claims to be the perfect salesman and in order to buy one of the vehicles you now must listen to 100 hours of tapes explaining all the information he wants you to have regarding these vehicles. You are told not to discuss this matter with either current owners or past owners of his vehicles. You are told of course that new customers must go to see Mat Rotji personally in order to be "chosen" to buy one of his vehicles. You are curious why the message has changed and question whether what brought you to Mat Rotji is in fact what is being offered today? You know what was told to you before yet now find no one discusses those prior claims or else you hear those claims being blamed on folks like Fred (remember him? He's that likeable person that initially told you about Mat Rotji). You continue driving the car (and having it serviced $$$, for a while longer) but eventually you give up and toss the car. Armed with information you now can either 1- ignore the facts, 2- join in and tell your story or 3- defend the practices of Mat Rotji. Do you want to be personally and/or publicly embarrased by the fact that you were gullible enough to have been taken in by this salesman Mat Rotji? Do you still hold out hope that Mat Rotji is just being misunderstood? Do you feel compelled to warn others about the practices of Mat Rotji? And what about when someone close to Mat Rotji starts posting misinformation... or casts the blame onto people like you that were suckered in to buying vehicles from Mat Rotji? Think Reporter....... Which category do you fall into? The apologist?
Anyway, I realize this is a lame attempt at penetrating a defense system built up over many years, but nevertheless I try! Good luck to ya!
