Of course I know the sun shines out of my arse really, lol.I think the point of Nik's quote is that once initiated & in the cult, not many people, though there were a few, made much of an attempt to do anything about the aspects of it which disturbed them,apart from retreating to the sidelines,or leaving.
As someone who had constructed an entire way of life & circle of friends around this thing, leaving was not something I was courageous enough to do. So I kept out of the way.....many others did that too.
