An obvious question is this:  why does Rawat brag so much?

I used to donate a monthly sum to Elan Vital each month.  If I were still a loyal premie, I wonder what my reaction to Katrina would be.  Would I donate money to Rawat's foundation?  Surely I would be intelligent enough to see through Rawat's self-promotion in this instance.   Wouldn't I understand the inappropriateness in a person using a national tragedy for their own public relations campaign?

Premies have donated a sum of $75,000 to Rawat's foundation.  And now there is this "press release" and self-congratulations expressing how wonderful Rawat's foundation is. I can only hope that there are some premies out there who can see through this manipulation.

Rawat himself must be a narcissist whose whole path in life is self-glorification.  He evidently has no shame and cannot even see the inappropriateness of his own actions.

And I think that nya might be correct in the thread above about Jonx.  She suggest that part of premie motivation is a projected ego onto Rawat.  A premie feels good about themselves through the glorification of their Teacher.

It is obvious to me that premies are not interested in self-knowledge, but in their Teacher, the relationship, and the experience they get from that.  Otherwise, they would leave Rawat's path just like the 90% of people who have tried out Knowledge.

I pity the people who attempt to find their own peace by following Rawat or anybody else like him.  I pity them but I also see that they lack intelligent discrimination and have no independent integrity.  I find that utterly intolerable.  I can no longer be friends with the premies who I know personally.  They have fallen so far from our original goal of self-knowledge.  Our idealistic dream has turned into an embarassing charade.
