I haven't posted here in a great while, but felt that I would like to offer my humble opinion and briefly summarize my understanding that has evolved over the last few years. 1. There is no such thing as "Knowledge" or "receiving Knowledge." And definitely not in the sense that it is pitched in Rawatism, e.g. now you are saved by a secret initiation, you know something that is hidden to the other 99.9999% of the planet, etc.
2. There is no bifurcation between the spiritual and the material. They only exist together, and to perceive unity is an accomplishment.
3. Self-realization, finding "peace within," is an impossible goal. The very viewpoint that we are isolated, alienated agents searching for a personal peace is a direct reflection of our disease. Sitting in meditation may be necessary, but it is spirituality 101. Please see www.tributariesradio.org and listen to the Alan Clements interview (you will need the RealAudio player).
4. Compassion is as compassion does. It may feel good to feel it, but so what? Someone finally got through to Rawat and convinced him that he can't just be on the take all time. It looks too seedy, too suspicious - you just can't talk your way around it for a few decades. Kinda like GWB and "compassionate conservatism," i.e. "Let them eat cake."
5. Hello to all my friends out there... Maybe I never write, but I love you anyway!
