I posted this story on Sir Dave's forum a few weeks ago when this con-man was found guilty ( but not yet sentenced ). It is an absolutely horrific read.  What struck me was that whenever this man feared that his victims would suss him out , he would become angry and terrify and intimidate them ,often using physical violence.

I have mentioned on this forum before that at 19 years old ,I was taken by a "conman" premie ( named David Wilmott aka Dave Breathe ) to an unofficial ashram in the middle of nowhere, where I and several other young people were cut off from everything and everyone we knew, starved and used for slave labour,giving all our pay packets to this conman.

The conman in the story you posted said he worked for MI5 whereas my conman said he was working for God himself in the shape of Guru Maharaj Ji.

The problem for me was that when I ran away from the first con, I had been sufficiently brainwashed to not dare to leave the Guru and stayed around Divine Light Mission and then EV for 30 years. IMO and although present day premies totally deny it, FEAR still plays a huge part in people remaining in the cult.I still feel frightened myself sometimes. ( "the Lawd might strike me down dead for denying him" style fantasies ). Shiver and shudder.

I already talk to my 13 year old son about making  his own decisions and judgements  and not being unduly influenced and manipulated by others.The teenage years are a very sensitive time.
