Hi Andries. I was on First Class for a while in the mid-90's, as the "Information Person" for our local community. I had to be "approved" of course, and apply for access, ( I seem to remember that it was Terry Yingling who handled my case at the time) and have a special password. But mostly, as I remember it, it was just for passing on information about forthcoming events, how to "do" certain things such as the protocol for local community libraries, proper display of information, local, national and international contact numbers, that sort of thing. I don't remember seeing anything much of a personal or critical nature, but it could have been that I was small fry and not privy to anything too sensitive. I was still a believer back then, and felt proud to be of service and pass on information. It was only later that I realised that much of it was really non-information! And when I think about it now, BORING!
I remember one unfortunate gaff when some newbie posted something and every address in the EV system showed up! Pages and pages of e-mail addresses! I don't know what happened to the poor guy--maybe shot at dawn in some remote part of North Dakota or something.
Best,
Shelagh
