and the odd optical illusion to focus on.Remember how in programmes in the early 70s - eg Guru Puja at Alexandra Palace in London, then Copenhagen (not to mention Millennium 73) he was always high up and far away with a large and contrasty backdrop behind him? I remember the effect of staring at him too. Never worked with binoculars though!
(PS - you might not believe it, but all the lines in the picture below are straight! - hold a ruler/straight edge of a piece of paper to the screen to prove it to yourself!).
