If the funds are handled by tprf then, unlike the EV situation there is some obligation on tprf to be transparent about how it applies funds that are collected for specific purposes - though with the very minimal figures that tprf publishes the responsibility for ensuring godd practice largely falls to tprf's auditors. I was wondering about that. In particular #1: 1. very minimal figures that TPRF publishes 2. Good practice largely falls to TPRF's auditors Nik, what does this mean to the public or premies who might contribute to TPRF to help with the relief efforts? How will they know their money is being most effectively directed and not 'skimmed'?
Wouldn't it be better for people to contribute directely to the Red Cross or Salvation Army or other large and well known organizations that have a real history and track record of providing real relief in real situations? And what real track record does TPRF have for delivering real relief and not just using the opportunity for Public Relations purposes? The 10 or 20 tons of rice TPRF contributed to Liberia or wherever in the Africa that they made such a big deal about only cost about $10,000 USD because rice is dirt cheap. The eye exams that TRPF claims they gave was really only a store front they let some Doctors Without Borders type group use, yet TPRF put it out like Maharaji himself gave sight to the blind. What kind of relief organization within the U.S. does TPRF have in place that could help with Katrina relief? Of course, I know that they have ZERO (NONE, NADA, etc.) The only capacity Maharaji has in the U.S. is to set up pampered programs where he might actually show up and speak at. Heck, he might not even show up and take credit nevertheless. Do we know if he ever appeared in person at that San Francisco United Nations tribute? Or did he just rent a hall in a facility and phone in his appearance or send a DVD to show? And then Maharaji sure likes to pretend that he has spoken to members of the United Nations, but we know that's just a big fat lie. So, yeah, with a track record like Maharaji's why would anyone want to send money to TPRF in order to help the victims of Katrina? Why? Malibu Prem, you're nothing but scum in your transparent effort to put your name on the marquis at the expense of people who are truly suffering. Worse, we know you'll take a dime from every dollar that you receive and you won't even donate a nickel of your own money.
