I suggest it's because you are someone for whom the truth doesn't matter, if the truth will blow your mind. How did you end up thinking like that, as you must've started out believing that the truth did matter, in fact that it was the only thing which could blow your, or anyone elses, mind. Maybe you just don't like getting your mind blown anymore.
