So there you sat upon your throne too high for words; I should have known!   We worshipped you with every breath, It WAS a matter of life and death!   You always said to seek within, but somehow leaving you was sin.   Your smiles, your jokes, your golden face-- all hat-tricks from that cognac place.   "Ah! Life is good!". Of course it is, when thousands give so YOU can live!   We should have guessed the special effects; soft lights, sweet music, et voila!  no text!   The prestidigitator's art-- trompe l'oeil or sleight of hand for a start--   Required that we so willingly suspend our disbelief and see!   But now I know (and others too) the one you fooled the most was you!     Have a great weekend everyone! ~Shelagh  P.S.
