I think the investigative reporter from the local tv station linked on that site might be on to something. There seems to me to be an uncanny resemblance between the alleged activities of the MDC Foundation, & the modus operandi of Elan Vital.

....Documents show that between 1999 and 2003, the college sent the foundation( the MDC foundation) upwards of $5 million of taxpayers' money to cover such activities, as well as some foundation operations.

In 2000, the college's business affairs office was even listed as a $3 million donor.

State Rep. Juan Zapata of Miami is a graduate of Miami-Dade College. Unruh asked him about the donation.

Unruh: Representative Zapata, the foundation exists to support the college. Why would the college be a contributor to the foundation?

Zapata: "That's a very good question … It creates doubt and it creates uncertainty and it makes you want to ask more questions."

Unruh: "And you're going to do that?'

Zapata: "Exactly............
