And here's the sucker punch.

Maharaji is ranting and raving about how the world is going and nothing stable.  And the message that I got was why try to accomplish anything (e.g. like a career, my own family, children, education, etc.)

But, Maharaji doesn't just take away the possibilities of the world and leave you with nothing.

No, he's not that cruel.

Instead, Maharaji's a great salesmen because he creates a need (the world is unstable) and he comes in and fills the void he created with 'just hang in there and the Grace (my Grace) will take care of all your needs'.  And to get that Grace you need to surrender everything, especially your mind and all it's critical thinking that will tell you to run, run, run from this crazy greedy guru.
