Dear Dr. Padron,

I am writing to ask you to please rethink your support of the cult leader Prem Rawat. I suspect you have been misled about this man's history. I was a member of his cult, during which time I like many others worshipped him as a living messiah. I find it especially appalling that a college would ever sponsor this man who hijacked the education of so many of his followers in the 1970s and 1980s. I myself was a Miami resident and honor student until I joined him cult at 13 years old. I have a personal friend who in addition to giving his trust fund to Mr. Rawat, gave up a scholarship at Yale when Mr. Rawat scolded his followers about the foolishness of thinking one needs an education.

I urge you to read www.ex-premie.org and learn for yourself about this man's past. Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
