Thanks Hilltop, NAR, Cynthia, et al.

There are so many eyes scrutinizing what is said that nobody but nobody really gets the chance to dominate the conversation no matter who they are.  And I for one admit and know that I ain't no Senator's son on this forum or any other forum.  And I know that I have hits and I have misses.

It's funny in my pictures collection I have a picture of Nazi Joseph Goebbels at a rally and he looks just awful.  A picture is worth a thousand words, isn't it?

Sure, it's an unflattering image of Goebbels and it's an unflattering image of poor Joan Apter.  And, of course, Joan is nothing near a war criminal, but she has been more than just a casual cheerleader for Maharaji, as Hilltop's images certainly show without any doubt at all.  Now whether Joan has profitted from her association with Maharaji is certainly another topic.  My guess that other than having her ego stroked by appearing at a program and speaking that Joan has to pay her own way now as opposed to the good old days.

I sincerely feel sorry for Joan, although maybe I'm just projecting my own inadequacies and middle aged disappointment on her.  Nevertheless, I doubt that "it" is anywhere as exciting and satisfying for Joan as it was in the old days when she was a star in the limelight.

And let's assume for a moment that my speculation is correct in that the old guard (Joan, Ron, Tim, etc.) got their last hurrah in Passages and that from now on they will be kept in the dark, as it were in theatre terms, that this is just an example of the superficial focus of Maharaji where only young and pretty faces need apply to be presented to the public because there is a public to pander to and please.

Cool-chill, achtung baby!  Slip sliding away.
