NAR,
A personality disorder such as a sociopath means that somebody shows antisocial behavior during a very long time period and more or less irrespective of the circumstances. I do not think that the example of a high ranking military is a good one. You probably were a private yourself too and were later trained to take care of your men and women. In other words, you were trained to empathize with your subordinates (I was a conscript of the Dutch army at the American base at Heidelberg, Germany and I quarrelled with my Dutch Muslim roommate because he did not want me to meditate in our room and he started to threaten me to make me stop.) A more appropriate comparison with Rawat would be a dictator or a king. I do not think that abuse of power by a king or a dictator is an indication of sociopathy. It just happens naturally when you are surrounded by sycophant followers and when nobody challenges your opinions, authority, or orders. (OT) Nar thanks for the advice about RF technology, will reply privately. Andries Modified by Andries at Wed, Apr 06, 2005, 12:07:08 |
