Hello Hussain,

Rawat's presented lineage(which started with Shri Dayal ji) is from the Rahdasoami lineage which is not considered Hindu or Sikh by adherents, although many of the Rahdasoami Gurus dress Sikh.

A good book I read called "Radhasoami Reality" by Mark Juergensmeyer gives a good understanding of where Rawat's belief system came from. The book is writen by an academic who is not affiliated with any guru.

It especially deals with the development of 'the one and only Perfect Master' concept(which incidentally I embraced hook line an sinker).
It also deals with the convoluted history of the 'Masters'.
Rawat's split with his brother Satpal, seems to have happend all through history.

Like Farrakan uses the name of Islam, Rawat used(uses?) the external trappings of Hinduism and Sikhism to attract Hindus and Sikhs, but actually he is being disingenuous.

Regards

Jethro
