Can anyone recall the name of the premie, who became an Initiator, who sang that song "All Night Long" at festivals in 1979, when M would get up and dance? He was the alternative to the alien Rich Neal, who sang "dance, dance, dance." I remember the song was in a minor key, and kind of haunting.
I recall he was kind of short, dark hair, originally from Michigan, he was at COLL and lived in the Boston Ashram before becoming an Initiator. He was made an Initiator with a bunch of premies from the Boston ashram. It was a strange group as I recall, I believe rewarded with Initiatorship because they stayed in the ashram during the 1976 Renaissance.
The only thing I recall about him as an Initiator, other than that song, was that he toured the country demanding that ashram premies do music technique without a barragon, meaning you had to sit on the floor and hold your arms up for 15 minutes. This guy seemed quite proud that he could do it, and claimed it increased your experience of music (aka, listening to the blood flow through your thumbs as you put them in your ears), by up to 50% (he actually said that).
Anyhow, I was told that he left the cult with some flourish, pointing out that Rawat was "not the only way," and some other rather public statements. It would be interesting to look him up (if I recalled the name, that is).
Anybody remember?
