YAMAMOTO, Jane
Completed her life journey successfully with peace and dignity, at home with her husband and sister by her side, on July 21, 2004 after a short but courageous encounter with cancer. Jane is survived by her husband John D. JENNESS, and her seven siblings: Kin MINAMIDE, Kaichi NISHIMURA, Takeshi YAMAMOTO, Amy YAMAMOTO, May THOMAS, Stewart YAMAMOTO, Julia TAYLOR, and her mother Asaye YAMAMOTO. Jane was born June 5, 1949 in Magrath, Alberta, where she grew up and attended high school. She obtained her Bachelor of Education degree from University of Calgary, and her Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from the Alfred Adler Institute of Chicago. Jane's distinguished career in the Early Childhood Education arena, has helped shape the lives of countless children and students. She started as a kindergarten teacher in Calgary, Alberta, before holding several academic positions in British Columbia. She was appointed by Orders in Council to the British Columbia Provincial Community Care Facility Appeal Board for an unprecedented 10 years. Jane will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all of us for her trademark laughter and joy of life. She was one to seek out and extract the most out of life, with passion, intention, and exuberance. She dedicated her life to helping and teaching others. It was her experience of inner peace and fulfilment that carried her to the end, that which continues to inspire so many of us. All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Jane's Life which will be held on Saturday, August 7th, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Ave., Surrey, British Columbia. In lieu of flowers, please make donations (in U.S. dollars) to: The Prem Rawat Foundation (see: www.tprf.org), P.O. Box 241498, Los Angeles, California, 90024.
