You are mistaken, but I doubt very much whether you are able to care about the effects of your mistakes. I've read what McGregor said, and it seems to me that it boils down to this, that he is sorry he caused offence (and lost legal battles). His apology is for losing the fight, not for having taken part. That hardly reflects well on his antagonists, does it? So of course we can all agree with him that it is usually the better strategy to conduct oneself in such a way that one is able to prevail in legal disputes. Nothing controversial there, eh? But I disagree with him that he was wrong to cause offence. *ALL* religious belief is (or can be construed to be) offensive to some other religious belief. You cause offence -- a deep and abiding distress -- to many sincerely religious people because of your misplaced devotion to a messianic fraud (I mean "Captain" Prem Pal Rawat of Malibu). And all religious belief is deeply offensive to rational people. For example, I am deeply offended by Church billboards that proclaim "The only Way to the Lord is through Jesus Christ" -- I am deeply offended by their claim that I am damned and they (alone) are saved. And I am similarly offended by the fraudulent Rawat's similarly Messianic claims. For the sake of global harmony, I will leave it at that, and not get stuck into Hinduism, Judaism and Islam as well. But they are all, like Rawatism, a crock of sh-you-know-what. And they are all a crock of sh*t for a very simple reason. It is a very simple reason that you may well not be able to understand yet. Here's how the Gautama Shakyamuni (Buddha) put it "Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumoured by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." Rawatism most certainly is not conducive to the good and benefit of people in general. Rawatism is a cynical money-making racket only made possible with the assistance of expensive and unethical law firms willing and able to bully for cash. It is true you are a coward and a bully, isn't it Prem Rawat? If you were not such a coward, you would not need to hide behind unethical bullying lawfirms. You would instead respond to my challenge. Here it is again, Mr Rawat. Please make a more grown up reply this time. Poetry will do.
