I wonder if that's the same "Mick" I remember from my premie daze.

Anyhow, that was very well said, and thanks for posting that.  I guess I was on my hiatus from the Forum when that got posted.

Speaking of the ashrams, I saw this on the new website:

The [ashram] closures caused considerable dislocation to many ashram premies, who had abandoned university, employment training and families to serve Prem Rawat. In one address, Prem Rawat complained angrily of learning that a US ashram had handed each of its former residents $US 100, with which to start new lives.... most began new lives in 'the world' - something which few were psychologically or practically prepared.

First, Rawat dumps the "lifetime" ashramites on the streets after they had given him all their money and their lives for years.  If the ashram had accumulated debts, the ashram premies got stuck with it when the ashram closed.  Then Rawat bitched about giving them a hundred bucks.  That says a lot about the guy.  What a caring sweetheart the Big M is.  But I can understand him being angry.  God knows how much cognac a few $100s would buy.  What a waste giving it to the premies.
