I agree that Srila Prabupada and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness are not of the same category as DLM or EV. Whether one agrees or not with their teachings, at least this organization has an authentic Hindu tradition. True, they have had problems in their history in the United States, but so has many other religious groups. They freely give away their mantra, known as maha-mantra, which is also well known in India. Prabpupada was a Sanskrit scholar and never claimed to be Krishna or God, unlike Mr. M., who is a total fake.
I'm not endorsing or trying to get anyone to join, and am not a member myself, I am just critically comparing and saying that ISCKON at least has some bona fide traditions and scholarly translations of Vedic texts made by its founder, whereas DLM and EV offer NOTHING -- M is a total fraud.
