One of the things I like about this Forum is hearing other peoples' attitudes of those long lost days. I think Kim is a great ballad singer and writer - it looks like you call them wan, wistful songs of longing and weakness and I guess you're right. I have never identified with the weakness but I love Sehnsucht and tristesse. Kim was originally married to Lindsay Field in the band and then later went with Geoff Bridgeford. Actually I never gave their relationships a thought until years later when they moved nearby. Oh yeah, you were an ashram premie, weren't you?I didn't like the reggae either though the lead guitar player was one of Australia's most famous musicians and the bass player has been in some of the most successful bands in Australia since leaving. Lindsay has for years been a backup singer to Australia's most popular singer, not my style at all but the folks love him.
In retrospect yes we were taught to think about our breath but wasn't the experience meant to transcend the technique and didn't we assume that the techniques were only the training wheels that would help us go beyond? Looks like you spent too much time thinking about the band and I spent too much time thinking about the thinkingless future and how our consciousnesses would manifest.
