I never cared for Kim's singing myself. It was okay, but when One Foundation bacame pretty much the cult official band it stifled a lot of other musical creativity among the premies. They were talented musicians, but we had too much of the same over and over. I didn't personally care for the reggae stuff they did.
Suzie Bai Whitten had been a professional singer, or at least had performed in nightclubs, etc.,. She wrote a number of cult hits, including "Green Were the Hills" which is what she sang at Rawat's wedding. She did have a good voice and was a talented writer. I believe she was one of the first westerners to receive knowledge, in India.
I lived in the ashram with Suzie Bai for awhile and she was a very nice person, from what I perceived. I understand she became a screen writer and is an ex-premie in Southern California. I remember she gained a lot of weight, and probably in that Family of Love film she is a tad chubby, but she lost the weight and looked great when I lived with her. I also always loved the way she sang.
From what I gather, Kim is still a premie. I saw her in some video, but Daya usurpted her as the lead singer. This must have been around 1997 at a proram in Long Beach.
