Maybe the media would be interested in him if he was actually gaining any more followers in the U.S. or Europe, but the fact is, he's not.  His peak for numbers of followers in the western world was in the late 70s maybe early 80s. Plus, he changed his name and now goes by Prem Rawat.  That's too boring for the media.

Funny that you asked to meet him at his home.  It's called "The Residence," and is heavily guarded.  Your name is probably now on what's called the "bongo" list.  That's an official list of people perceived as threats against Rawat and his family.

The thing about Prem Rawat is that he really doesn't care about anyone but himself, and maybe his family (the jury's out on how he treats his wife because he's had a mistress for many years and his wife was once very active in the cult).  It's hard to swallow that someone who invites people to follow them as their guru, master or teacher, who talks about peace and love, in fact doesn't care about people at all.  But it's really true.  He treats most people like shit, unless you have a large bank account and you are willing to open it up to him.  I'm not being cynical here.  This is a fact.  After himself, himself, and himself, Rawat loves money and lots of it -- for himself.
