One minute I was laughing out loud at Cynthia's description of Anne in a nightie and a fortified bra.....(and it really did make me laugh!)and the next, feeling incredibly sad that a mother could leave her own kids.
And then to go to lengths to avoid her own child, to have all that guilt and to still try and be the supreme gopi? I just hope that she and her kids are now reconciled. But you can never get those years back again and I guess that's what makes it so sad.
BTW, we never had any of that kidnapping and deprogramming stuff here in the UK. Must have been an American thing!
