.........he being such an expert on this & other obscure groups, but in my limited understanding of the historical background, DLM was always a threat to 'Hinduism', especially in its political manifestation. I remember stories of how Shri Hans was opposed by orgs such as the RSS & Arya Samaj, whose roots go back to the opposition to British rule, & who are now at the forefront of sectarian politics in India. The whole Rhadasaomi/Sant Mat holy roller revival movement, was considered guilty of 'Uncle Tomism' by the purist fanatics who went on to pull down the mosque at Ayodyha......... but maybe this is getting ot.
Many families have been separated due to various brain washings in the center. They feel everything will come by if we only serve God - that is not, to work, not to educate the children...They propagate not to go to the temple, because God does not live there.
The interesting thing to me about that article,is that 20 yrs ago Rawatism was seen by Hindus as a threat to family life, which it is, not that it's in conflict with Vaishnavism, about which I know very little, & care even less.
