Did anyone notice how so many of the pics are duplicates? What's with that, I wonder? Is this like Attack of the Clones all over again?
Also, this kind of cracks me up. Instead, of calling their lying FAQ a, well, a FAQ, they call it "What's Hot". Come on, this pandering is disgusting. Funny, disgusting, somewhere, deep, lost over the edge.
I mean, really, I can't understand how any kids could fall for this. It's soooooooooooo evasive and vague, not at all like the ride we jumped on back in the early '70s. Back then, we knew what we were doing -- kind of. We were turning our backs on western culture and putting our trust in a young, teenage guru who just so happened to be not any old young teenage guru but a divine avatar. We had every reason to believe this because he told us himself; he had a lot of really impressive guru-type looking mahatmas who told us too, there were other western followers who swore up and down that they'd experienced the inner proof, his dad looked like one really, cool divine avatar type thing. Plus, oh so importantly, people like Leary, Carlos Castenada and Baba Ram Dass tricked our whole generation into eschewing "western" logic and rationality and this was just the perfect honey pot to stick our hands in. Plus, perhaps more importantly still, we knew nothing of the real story of Rawat. For one thing, we didn't know jack about his real heritage, etc. not like we can now. For another, he hadn't had decades, as he as now, to prove what an impotent, lying, coward he really is.
So with all these issues turned against him, how in the world is Rawat ever going to snare these kids and keep them?
I know, it can be done. I guess. But still .....
